for the:

seer

If you’ve ever seen the movie Eat, Pray, Love, you might be familiar with the expression dolce far niente or the sweetness of doing nothing. We’ll spend a week on an organic farm embodying this philosophy - slowing down to notice the magic that’s right in front of us. The third eye is the energetic center for our intuition + presence - it’s where we acknowledge the truth of the moment. When we can learn to see from this place, rather than seek, we find the love in everything.

retreat intention: Presence

primary chakras: third eye

kelsha: aversion

five (5) nights accommodation

A restored 13th century farm is the backdrop for our Tuscan getaway. Sitting atop dormant volcanic land, and overlooking the walled town of Monteriggioni, this 10 bedroom estate is rich with history and life.

yoga + meditation

Our most meditation-centered retreat to-date, here’s what you can expect from your yoga practice:

  • Two (2) hours of asana daily (primarily Hatha + Yin)

  • One (1) hour of meditation daily

With the following specialty workshops:

  • Third Eye Asana: Balancing Postures for Centering

  • Truth of the Moment: Seeing vs Seeking

siena day trip + photography scavenger hunt

Could not be more excited for this day trip to the medieval city of Siena. You will be set free to roam, as you see fit. But you will have one assignment during your time wandering: a photography scavenger hunt. It will be a fun opportunity to explore your “seeing” abilities. Bring a phone or a camera. No photography experience necessary.

gelato in Monteriggioni fortress

One afternoon, we will walk Via Francigena, an old pilgrimage trail, to Monteriggioni for a quick visit to this tiny walled city… and scoop up some very important post-yoga gelato.

Bagni di San Filippo thermal baths

Rise and shine! We’re heading to Bagni di San Filippo first thing in the morning to bathe in these natural hot spring before the locals do. It’s certainly off the beaten path and the most unique addition to your holiday.

grape + fig harvest

September is vendemmia or grape harvest season in Tuscany. We will have the chance to walk the grounds, collecting both grapes and figs - a true Italian daydream.

ITALIAN cooking class

When in Rome. We’ll be learning from the best of the best… made with love and farm-fresh ingredients.

bonfire + live music night

Celebrating the sweetness of life is what we do best on Pa’lante retreats. We’ll throw ourselves a little party, gathering with our largest retreat group of 2025.

daily brunch + dinner

We’ll have morning coffee + fruit before our yoga practice. Then we get to indulge in two hearty, homemade meals. The freshest food you can imagine!

common questions

Q: How do I get there?
A: You’ll fly into the Florence airport and then take an hour taxi to the property. You can also take the train from Florence to Castellina in Chianti - Monteriggioni and then take a taxi from there to the property. When we get closer, I’ll be able to help you guys coordinate groups, if you wish to travel together.

Q: Do I need to be a photographer to come?
A: LOL NO! Our photography scavenger hunt is less about the artistry of the photos and more about your ability to “notice.” Can’t wait to see what you see.

Q: Are there animals on the farm?
A: Yes, there are donkeys, geese, chickens, dogs, and cats. If you have allergies, please, make a note of this.

Q: I’ve never done meditation / meditation is hard for me / I’m not “good” at it. Will this be a good fit?
A: YES! While the one hour commitment is certainly something to consider, when selecting which retreat is right for you, I won’t hold you hostage in meditation. If you prefer to not participate, that’s totally up to you. That being said, I hope you at least try every day. Meditation is challenging until, one day, it’s more enjoyable. There are practices and techniques that I will share with you to support your meditation journey. It’s going to look a lot different for everyone.
