It’s a lighthearted girl’s weekend, balanced with movement, nourishment, and rest. Somewhere between Malibu and Ventura is one of our favorite California escapes: Channel Islands Beach. This will be our third retreat here - we just can’t resist the wide, sandy beaches, island views, idyllic marina, and the cutest beach lodge we have ever seen. It’s a no-frills kinda yoga weekend. Just sweet, simple, and picture-perfect.

You may recognize our retreat space, as it’s quite famous for its vibrant design. This colorful backdrop is all ours for a restful and easy stay-cation. Just steps to the beach, come and go as you please on your down time. (There are enough bikes for everyone to go on an adventure, too). Or enjoy the island views from the balcony. Bring a book and bathing suit and soak in the best of Local Summer.

seven (7) plant-based meals

Sit back and let yourself be completely taken care for the weekend. Colorful, plant-based meals will fuel our very active days.

Two (2) hours of beach yoga daily

Beach yoga is so California. We will carve out time to salute the sun every morning before breakfast. We’ll find joy through a well-balanced Hatha practice. And we will laugh our way through workshops of inversions, arm balances, and balancing poses. All-levels are welcome.

Ayurvedic Dinacharya

Each morning, we will walk through a traditional Ayurvedic morning routine, also known as Dinacharya, intended to balance the body + mind. Our itinerary will look something like this:

  2. Body + Mind Scan

  3. Oil Pulling

  4. Morning Meditation

  5. Morning Tea

  6. Sun Salutations

  7. Abhyanga (Oil-Massage)

  8. Showers

  9. Breakfast

Channel islands harbor paddle

Pick your player: paddle board or kayak. We’re taking the scenic route through the neighborhood. If we’re lucky, we might even run into the neighborhood greeters - the dolphins like to look for fish in the marina.

barefoot beach run + ocean plunge daily

Run, walk, skip… however you may. We’ll loop 4 miles on this long stretch of beach and finish it with an ocean plunge. This is the kids’ contrast therapy. Days like this are medicine for the soul.

afternoon “mocktail” bar

Every good girls weekend needs an afternoon mock-tail and snack. We’ll dry off from our salty beach runs and refresh with some vacay favorites.

  • Transportation to/from retreat venue

  • Dinner on Thursday night (please eat before you arrive)

Q: Why is this retreat only 3 nights?
A: I wanted to create an even more accessible retreat, taking into account affordability + time commitment + location. We’ll be sure to jam pack the weekend with yoga and fun.

Q: Are meals included?
A: Yes! All meals are included, except for Thursday night. Please, eat before you check-in.

Q: Will there be down-time?
A: YES! Between all of our yoga, the intention will be to rest and enjoy intentional down time. Bring books or a journal to enjoy during your free time. Or grab a beach cruiser and go for an adventure.

Q: Will we have time to explore the surrounding area?
A: On Sunday, after we check-out, those who are interested will be able to join for an acai + coffee date at Palm & Boy in Ventura, 15 minutes north. Not included in the retreat itinerary but a fun add-on for those who are able to stay.
