lake arrowhead, ca

october 23-26, 2025

for the: archeologist

An archeologist gently uncovers remnants of what once was. And they are careful not to damage the findings, extracting wisdom from the past. This weekend getaway is dedicated to doing the same - discovering and studying the ancestral wounds + wisdom that live inside of us. Through intentional movement, meditation, time in nature, and specialty workshops, we’re harnessing the old to welcome the new. If you are open to self-study and self-healing, the mountains are calling.

RETREAT INTENTION: transformation

PRIMARY CHAKRAS: root + Solar Plexus

NATURAL ELEMENT/QUALITY: earth + Fire

three (3) nights accommodation

There’s no better time to be in Lake Arrowhead than crisp, cozy October. We’ll spend a few days in the chrysalis of our dreamy cabin, enjoying lake views from every room. This space has everything we need to “do the work,” while still giving the ultimate California vacation vibes.

seven (7) plant-based meals

Healing goes further with the help of Pachamama. So we’re keeping our menu earthy (as always) with colorful, plant-based meals. In Ayurveda, every meal incorporates the six tastes: sweet, salty, bitter, astringent, pungent, and sour, for greater balance and satisfaction. Rest assured you’ll feel nourished and restored.

Daily yoga + meditation + workshops

For the first time in a long time, we’re bringing multiple guides. Come practice with myself (Jax), PLUS Jeanine Talento + Rosie Quezada, for a well-rounded weekend of self-study.

Friday:
- Root Chakra: Movement as Medicine (Rosie)
- Yin Yoga: Uncovering Wisdom (Jax)
- Somatic Healing Workshop (Jeanine)
- 30-Minute Meditation

Saturday:

Ayurvedic Dinacharya

On Saturday morning, we will walk through a traditional Ayurvedic morning routine, also known as Dinacharya, intended to balance the body + mind. Our itinerary will look something like this:

  1. Early Wake-Up

  2. Body + Mind Scan

  3. Oil Pulling

  4. Morning Meditation

  5. Morning Tea

  6. 10 Sun Salutations

  7. Abhyanga (Oil-Massage)

  8. Showers

  9. Breakfast

Braiding sweetgrass Book Club

Upon registration, you’ll be sent a copy of the book Braiding Sweetgrass. Whether you read it in its entirety, skim, or save it for later, we will gather on Friday night (with snacks and cider, of course) to discuss this theme of indigenous wisdom.

fire ceremony

Fire is a universal symbol of transformation. It’s used in medicine to heal open wounds. It’s used in the household to nourish the body. And it’s used in spirituality to detoxify, purify, and strengthen. Our fire ceremony on Saturday night is dedicated to the transformation of old wounds, alchemizing pain into power and clarity into action.
